At the Wishing Well, we strive to offer you more than a beautiful room or memorable breakfast. Many, many guests have commented that as soon as they walk thorough the “green door” they instantly feel warm and comfortable. I believe that while my quaint old house lends itself to coziness, there is an aura inside---an aura from its 150 year history—that instantly touches the spirit of strangers, making them feel welcome and “home”. I felt it myself when I first bought  the house---then an abandoned shell—and felt it during the many months that I spent renovating , often  by myself but never “alone”. Since then I have witnessed the magic “the house” speaks to others, hundreds of times, transforming the wary and the weary into people ! who are back in touch with nature and their unique humanness.

The staff at the Wishing Well is on a mission.... and that creed is to ensure each guest to not only be lodged comfortably but, moreover, to receive “ the experience”  which they are  hoping  for  when they decide to visit our area. We try to find out what is their “wish” and give them the information that will lead them down the path toward wish fulfillment. Simply said, we “wish you well”; at the

Our knowledge of our area is extensive, mostly through firsthand experience, and we are glad to share our findings with every guest. We travel “the extra step” for you—order the flowers, get the “right” champagne, make the reservations for a river view at the restaurant most suited to you. Take you to the play or parade or direct you to the upriver rafting or down stream fishing. Review the gallery, post the movie schedule, know who is performing where and how. Dancing, biking, massage, salons, bus—all are within walking distance and many with discounted savings to guests of the Wishing Well. 
In addition we offer free pool and gym passes.

We are proud of our unique services at the Wishing Well. Within our walls, guests have married, reconciled, reunited, committed, said “I do”, “I will” and, many times, “I love you”. Recently we learned that a couple who were having difficulty  conceiving a child came to us, relaxed, and nine months later a child was born---the magic of  The Wishing Well?  While we concede that such a wish is not so much in our control, we do pledge our best that our business while you are staying with us will be in enabling your wish,   “the experience” of life… in New Hope…a town of infinite beauty and fun and so very many possibilities, where diversity and uniqueness is rewarded.
