The
property originally functioned as a farm and owned
all of the surrounding land to the south. In contrast
to city life, you'll find that our"home sweet home," is
a beacon of tranquility.
We are located within walking distance of New Hope's quaint shops, restaurants, |
|
and
galleries, and if you want to enjoy nature
at its finest, all you need do is step outside
our back door. The backyard also contains
the original wishing well that gives our home
its name.
The
Wishing Well is
just a short ten minute walk from the bus station that
services Trans-Bridge with
it's service to New York and Philadelphia. |

|
You'll
find that the house and the property have a
lot of character. There are six guestrooms,
two fireplaces, random width wooden floors,
ceiling beams, antique furniture, a cozy dining
area, and the original stone walls.
Whether you're looking for a romantic hideaway, or a comfortable
home to use for a sight-seeing tour of the beautiful Bucks County
countryside, or on a business trip, look no further. |
 |
|
A
main attraction of the Wishing Well is the back acre
of unspoiled woods that ends at Ingham creek, one of
the county's oldest country creeks. As you walk
down our "stairway to heaven" into the valley you are
instantly transported into the solitude of nature at
it's scenic best.
|
Your
companions: The
cardinals, bluejays, rabbits and deer
who call our back acre their home. |
|
|
| We find
that a lot of people come to a B&B because they're
looking for more than a pretty room or a "homey" atmosphere.
They're looking to meet some of the local townspeople,
and get the inside scoop of where to go and what to
see. |
| |
We,
pride ourselves in making sure you feel right at home
and take pleasure in ensuring that you have "The
Experience" as well as the lodging.
